Flurries are starting to add up. Valley bottom areas are still very thin and barely at threshold, but tree line and alpine areas are beginning to come into shape. Watch for buried hazards.

Weather Forecast

Flurries will continue for the next 24-36 hours. Amounts will hopefully total 10cm by Saturday night. The temps will be steady at the -5 to -8 range for the day as well. Treeline winds will be gusting to about 35km/hr from the SW.

Avalanche Summary

Nothing noted today.

Snowpack Summary

Another 8-10 cm's today brings the total to 20-25cm from the last 3 days. Winds have been steady out of the SW and have created windslabs in immediate lee, alpine areas. The mid snowpack is decomposing windslabs sitting on the Nov crust. The crust is in varying states of decay, but generally intact and non-reactive. Having said that, it is now down about 40cm and as the load increases we may see it start to become a problem.
