Forecast Snow Stability: The remaining patchy snow cover will be well bonded and stable throughout and continue to gradually thaw and diminish at most levels. The patchy snowpack will be present in wind sheltered locations primarily in gullies on North-West through North to East aspects above 900 metres. Any deposits of new snow above 1100 metres are not expected to be significant. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: It will be mainly dry overnight and during the morning with showers from midday, showers will fall as rain at most levels only falling as wet snow above around 1100 metres. The freezing level will be around 1200 metres. Winds will be strong South-South-Westerly. Observed Weather Influences: It was a wet, mild and windy day. Frequent heavy showers fell as rain at all levels. Winds were very strong South-Westerly and the freezing level was well above the summits.
