Forecast Snow Stability: No change expected, with well bonded and stable snow throughout. Firmer conditions in the early morning with surface layers starting to soften as the day progresses, especially on slopes exposed to the sun. Cornices will continue to slump and glide cracks will become more pronounced. Greatest snow cover will be found on the highest plateau areas and in North to East facing corries above 900 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Cold, clear night, followed by a sunny, warm day. Moderate North-North-Westerly winds at first, easing slightly as they back West-North-Westerly. Observed Weather Influences: A mild and sunny day with plus 10 degrees centigrade recorded at 930 metres during the early afternoon. Winds were light South-Westerly during the morning, increasing to moderate as they veered Westerly after midday. ObservedSnowStability: The snow is well bonded and stable, with soft surface layers where exposed to the sun and slightly firmer in the shade. Remaining cornice remnants are slumping and prone to collapse. Glide cracks are present around some corrie rims. The snow is thawing rapidly in the mild conditions with broken cover more widespread. High plateau areas and North to East facing corries above 900 metres are holding greatest amounts. The avalanche hazard is Low.
