Forecast Snow Stability: Localised instabilities will be present, mainly on steep North-West, North and North-East aspects above 1100 metres. Elsewhere the snowpack will be generally stable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Strong Southerly winds with some light precipitation later in the period. The freezing level will be around 800 metres. Observed Weather Influences: It has been a mainly dry day with the freezing level around 1000 metres. Strong Southerly winds over the summits. ObservedSnowStability: Localised areas of instability remain mainly on steep West, through North to North-East aspects above 1100 metres. Elsewhere the snowpack is generally stable. The avalanche hazard is Low.
