Forecast Snow Stability: The remaining snow will be generally well bonded and stable. Isolated pockets of less well bonded windslab will be encountered in steeper, wind sheltered locations such as gully tops and around corrie rims on North to East aspects above 1000 metres. These accumulations will be shallow and mostly avoidable. Good cover above 900 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: No precipitation. Strong South-South-Easterly winds. Freezing level lowering overnight to settle around 900 metres. Observed Weather Influences: A warm and sunny day with the freezing level well over the summits. Strong Southerly winds. ObservedSnowStability: The vast majority of the snow is stable and well bonded. Surface layers were softening in direct sunlight but remained firmer on shady slopes. Shallow accumulations of windslab are occasionally encountered in steeper wind sheltered locations on North to East aspects above 1000 metres. Both depth and distribution are limited, with these less well bonded deposits being mostly avoidable. The avalanche hazard is Low.
