Snowpack Summary
Information coming from this region has been extremely limited; however, reports suggest there is about 70cm of snow at 1600m in the Duffy Lake area and about 120cm at the same elevation on the Coquihalla. Terrain below treeline is reported to be mostly below threshold for avalanche activity.Surface snow on steep solar aspects is likely seeing a daily melt-freeze cycle. The warm temperatures have promoted the settlement and strengthening of the upper snowpack. A few crusts can be found deeper in the snowpack. Some facets may be found lingering around these crusts at higher elevations. Observers are not identifying any of these as cause for concern at this time although they might be worth exploring.
