Vær oppmerksom på at faren for at skavler kan brekke og falle ned øker med langvarig varme. Det er også fare for glideskred ved bakken. Disse er vanskelige å forutse, men hvis du legger merke til at glidesprekker utvider seg er dette et tegn på økt fare.
Snowpack Structure

Tendency
Rain leads to an increased danger of wet avalanches in steep terrain at higher elevations. The snowpack has been exposed to several periods of warm weather and will likely handle the rainfall relatively well. Shaded slopes at higher elevations are probably the most exposed, as layered snow structures may still be present there.
