Avalanche Activity

The wind will be moderate to strong. In some localities light snowfall at intermediate altitudes. The new snow and wind slabs can be released easily or naturally above the tree line.

Avalanches are possible, even large ones in isolated cases. The avalanche prone locations are to be found at the base of rock walls and behind abrupt changes in the terrain and adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. Experience in the assessment of avalanche danger is advisable.

Snowpack Structure

The new snow and wind slabs remain in some cases prone to triggering in all aspects. The wind slabs are barely recognisable because of the poor visibility. The new snow is bonding only slowly with the old snowpack.

Tendency

Slight warming.
