The early morning will see favourable conditions generally. As the day progresses the likelihood of moist snow slides and avalanches being released will increase gradually in particular on rocky slopes below approximately 2700 m. Individual avalanche prone locations for dry avalanches are to be found in particular on very steep shady slopes and at transitions into gullies and bowls. Older wind slabs are rather small and can only be released in isolated cases.

Sunshine and high temperatures will give rise as the day progresses to increasing moistening of the snowpack in particular on rocky sunny slopes. This applies on east, south and west facing slopes in all altitude zones, and on north facing slopes below approximately 2300 m. Adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas as well as in high Alpine regions snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind.
