Avalanche Activity

Slight increase in avalanche danger as a consequence of new snow and wind.

The wind slabs can be released, especially by large additional loads, in all aspects above approximately 1800 m. Mostly the avalanches are small. Adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas the likelihood of avalanches being released is greater.

Snowpack Structure

Some rain has fallen over a wide area. In addition small wind slabs formed in all aspects. In some places new snow and wind slabs are lying on an icy crust.
