Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will be mostly firm, icy and stable. However, isolated shallow deposits of windslab will be present on South-East to South-West aspects mostly above 1000m. Areas most affected are steep wind sheltered terrain such as gully tops and coire rims. The snow cover is patchy below 900m, with greatest accumulations found above this level. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: A dry day is forecast. Overnight gale force Northerly winds will ease steadily through the day becoming strong by the end of the forecast period. The freezing level will be around 500m. Observed Weather Influences: Northerly gale force winds. The freezing level gradually dropped from summit level to around 600m. Light snowfall during the forecasting period, descending to 600m as the freezing level dropped. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is mostly well consolidated, firm and stable. However, isolated pockets of shallow windslab are building on East through South to South-West aspects above 1000m. Areas most affected are steep wind sheltered terrain such as gully tops and coire rims. The avalanche hazard is Low.
