Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will continue to consolidate and the snow surface will begin to refreeze as temperatures fall. Snowpack stability will be good in most locations with isolated instabilities that remain on steep North-West through North to East aspects above 1250 metres consolidating throughout the period. New snow fall amounts are not expected to be significant. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: A few light showers before dawn will fall as snow above 700 metres and clear to give a mainly dry day. Moderate North-Easterly winds will veer Easterly during the afternoon. The freezing level will be around 1100 metes at the start of the night and fall to be around 700 metes during the day. Observed Weather Influences: Scattered showers throughout the day initially fell as snow above 900 metres before turning to rain at most levels. The freezing level dropped to around 900 metres by dawn and rose to around 1200 metres from late morning onwards. Winds were fresh South-Westerly. ObservedSnowStability: Weakness that remain in recent windslab accumulations are consolidating in the fluctuating temperatures. Areas most affected are steep wind sheltered locations on North-West through North to East aspects above 1000 metres. Recently formed cornices above these aspects are prone to collapse. Elsewhere snowpack stability is good. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
