    The majority of the drifts and wind slabs that formed earlier this week have stabilized. The wild card is areas where these formed on top of old weak faceted snow. The places where you still might trigger something is on very steep slopes that face north through east. Personally, I have a zero tolerance policy for trusting buried loose faceted snow. Even though I think it's getting pretty unlikely to trigger something, I'll continue to avoid the terrain I just described.

Snow and Weather

Current Conditions: It's quiet right now. We have very benign weather and snow conditions. Wind has been light from the southwest. High temperatures got into the the low 40s on Thursday and only cooled into the 30s overnight. Riding conditions are generally poor.

Mountain Weather: Today and Saturday are going to be mostly clear with very mild temperatures still. Wind will be generally light from the south. We may see a few clouds on Sunday with just slightly cooler temperatures. There's a storm that will move through on Monday but it looks like it is going to stay to our north bringing us just some clouds and maybe some scattered snowfall. The pattern looks more active after Christmas.
