It may be possible to trigger small wind slab avalanches up to 18 inches in depth on isolated terrain features at the upper elevations. Small avalanches can have serious consequences in extreme terrain. Temperatures have become inverted and are 5 to 12 degrees warmer at the mid and upper elevations then they were yesterday morning. As the day warms the likelihood for loose wet avalanches and sloughs to occur on steep sunlit slopes will increase. Monitor conditions for increasing wet snow avalanche hazards.

Sunday looks to be mostly clear and slightly warmer. Clouds are to increase in the afternoon as weak system approaches from the northwest. This system has limited moisture but may deliver brief light snow showers to a few mountain locations. Winds on Sunday are to be light. The general avalanche danger is expected to remain Low in the Tetons and Moderate in the Southwest Trails and Togwotee Pass areas where the deep persistent slab problem lingers. Wet slides will become possible in very steep terrain during the afternoon after the snow surface is weakened by sunlight and warm temperatures.
