Highlights

The new snow of recent weeks can be released in isolated cases, but mostly only by large additional loads in particular on steep shady slopes above approximately 2800 m. The solar radiation will give rise as the day progresses to rapid softening of the snowpack over a wide area in all regions especially at low and intermediate altitudes. The spring-like weather conditions gave rise to increasing moistening of the snowpack over a wide area.
