Avalanche Activity

The wind slabs represent the main danger.

Avalanches can as before be released by large loads. In particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls, wind-loaded slopes: The avalanches can in isolated cases be released by small loads. The more recent wind slabs are to be avoided whenever possible especially on steep shady slopes. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface.

Snowpack Structure

At high altitude only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year. The wind slabs are lying on weak layers in all aspects above approximately 1900 m.

Tendency

In all aspects a low avalanche danger will prevail. At elevated altitudes a moderate danger will be encountered in some regions.
