Forecast Snow Stability: Localised areas of windslab will continue to gradually develop through the day. Areas most affected will be steep wind sheltered areas such as gullies and coire rims with a South-West through West to North aspect above 1000 metres. Fragile cornices will develop on these aspects. Elsewhere the existing snowpack will be well bonded and stable. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate

Forecast Weather Influences: Showers starting just before dawn will fall as snow above around 600 metres and continue through the day. Gale force East-South-Easterly winds continuing becoming mainly Easterly as the day progresses. The freezing level will fall to around 600 metres. Observed Weather Influences: Showers in the morning fell as snow above around 950 metres followed by a drier afternoon. Gale force South-Easterly winds across the summits. The freezing level lowered gradually through the day to around 900 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The existing snowpack remains well bonded and stable. Localised areas of fresh unstable windslab are developing on some steep windsheltered areas on West to North aspects above 1100 metres. Gullies and coire rims are most affected. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
