On Wednesday expect moderate with freezing levels below valley bottoms and light southerly winds. Things should dry out Wednesday night into Thursday morning before a wet and warm Pacific frontal system makes landfall. Expect moderate to heavy precipitation on Thursday and Friday with freezing levels spiking to 1500m or higher on Friday.

Avalanche activity is expected in alpine and open treeline areas during and immediately after stormy periods.

Total snowpack depth are probably over a metre in most treeline areas and deeper but more variable in the alpine, while below treeline areas are probably still below threshold depths for avalanches.
