Some snow has fallen since Sunday in some regions. As a consequence of a moderate to strong bise wind, clearly visible wind slabs formed in the last few days. Today the wind will be strong at times. As a consequence of a strengthening northwesterly wind, mostly shallow wind slabs will form in the course of the day in particular in areas not adjacent to ridgelines. Adjacent to ridgelines at high altitude snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. Wind slabs can in some places be released by small loads and reach medium size. This applies especially in areas where the snow cover is rather shallow, and in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain at intermediate and high altitudes.

In some regions 5 to 10 cm of snow has fallen since Sunday above approximately 1700 m. High altitudes and the high Alpine regions: In the vicinity of peaks hardly any snow is lying. Below the wind-eroded peaks, above around 1600 m, more snow is lying for the time of year. Over a wide area various wind slab layers are lying on a hard crust. Especially west, north and east facing slopes high altitudes and the high Alpine regions: Individual weak layers exist in the snowpack. In particular sunny slopes low and intermediate altitudes: The surface of the snowpack will soften later than the day before.
