Forecast Snow Stability: The existing snowpack will freeze and consolidate. Fresh deposits of windslab will accumulate in sheltered locations on mainly North to East aspects above 1000 metres. However, these deposits are not expected to be extensive or deep. The tops of gullies and coire rims will be most affected. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: The freezing level will drop to around 900 metres overnight, and continue down to 800 metres by the end of the day. Gale force winds will be from the South-West. There will be some snow showers overnight and during the day. Observed Weather Influences: The freezing level dropped to around 900 metres overnight before rising to above the summits during the day. It was a cloudy day with some light rain at times. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack became firm and icy overnight. During the day it started to soften. Stability was generally good. However, some substantial cornices remain above 1100 metres, and and these were starting to slump and show signs of instability in the mild conditions. The avalanche hazard is Low.
