New snow and wind slabs require caution.

10 to 20 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, fell during the night above approximately 1800 m. The southerly wind has transported the fresh and old snow. The new snow and wind slabs have bonded well with the old snowpack in all aspects. Above approximately 2000 m there are 40 to 80 cm of snow, and even more in some localities. On sunny slopes as well as at low altitude from a snow sport perspective, insufficient snow is lying.

Sunday: Slight increase in danger of dry avalanches as a consequence of the snowfall.

New snow and wind slabs require caution.

The wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in particular on steep shady slopes. The avalanches are rather small. The avalanche prone locations are to be found especially adjacent to ridgelines above approximately 2400 m. They are sometimes covered with new snow and are therefore difficult to recognise. As a consequence of the new snow dry and moist avalanches are to be expected as the day progresses, even medium-sized ones. These can be released by people or triggered naturally. Defensive route selection is important.
