New snow and wind slabs at elevated altitudes.
Over a wide area 20 to 30 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, will fall above approximately 1500 m. The new snow can be released naturally in particular on steep shady slopes above approximately 2200 m. In particular at elevated altitudes snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind.
In these regions the previously small wind slabs will increase in size additionally until Sunday.

Down to 1000 m and below snow will fall until the evening over a wide area. In the course of the day sometimes large wind slabs will form. The fresh and somewhat older wind slabs are in some cases large can be released easily. The prevalence of these avalanche prone locations will increase as the day progresses. Numerous medium-sized and, in isolated cases, large dry avalanches are to be expected as a consequence of new snow and strong wind.
