Avalanche Activity

The northeasterly wind will transport only a little snow.

The wind will be strong in some cases in some regions. The mostly small wind slabs must be evaluated with care and prudence in particular on northwest to north to southeast facing aspects. The somewhat older wind slabs can be released in isolated cases, but mostly only by large additional loads, in particular on northwest to north to southeast facing aspects above approximately 2400 m.

Snowpack Structure

The snowpack is hard and its surface has a crust that is strong in many cases. This applies in particular below approximately 2800 m. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard crust. Faceted weak layers exist in the snowpack in particular on shady slopes.
