Avalanche Summary
Generally safe avalanche conditions exist from the Flat Tops through the Park Range and Steamboat. You might be able to trigger a small avalanche in isolated wind-loaded features in steep terrain, like underneath cornices or within gullies or couloirs. As the sun comes out and temperatures warm, you may see wet snow shed off of steep, rocky areas. Beware if you are traveling underneath these slopes later in the day.
Continue to practice safe travel techniques like limiting one person to a slope at a time and carrying a beacon, shovel, and probe, and knowing how to use them.
