Avalanche Summary

You can trigger an avalanche on wind-drifted north through east to southeast-facing alpine slopes. Westerly winds will pick up during the day, building thin new slabs below ridgelines and the along sides of gullies. Choose wind-sheltered slopes with softer snow to avoid this concern.
