Avalanche Summary

You can trigger an avalanche that breaks in the new and wind-drifted snow. Avalanches in the surface snow could step down to the ground. Cracking and collapsing are signs of unstable snow and an indication that you should avoid steep slopes. For safer travel options, stick to slopes with a slope angle less than around 30 degrees or areas that are protected from the wind.
