Highlights
The General Avalanche Hazard is MODERATE today. Slabs one to three feet in depth lie upon weak layers of buried surface hoar and faceted snow. These slabs could be triggered today in cliff areas and in steep wind loaded starting zones of major avalanche paths. Backcountry enthusiasts may ski or ride across a slab multiple times before a trigger spot is hit and the slope fails.
