The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE. In upper elevation, wind-loaded avalanche terrain, skiers and riders have the potential to trigger dense surface slabs to depths of one foot. Increasing temperatures today will increase the sensitivity of these slabs and provide for the possibility of wet loose surface slides in steep terrain.

Skies are to be partly cloudy and temperatures are to rise into the mid to upper thirties.During the morning, the general avalanche hazard will be Moderate above 9000 feet where pockets of slab to two feet lie, and Low below 9000 feet. The hazard will increase in the afternoon as sunlight and increasing temperatures weaken the surface of the snowpack, providing for the chance of wet loose activity at all elevations as well as making the dense slabs that lie at high elevations more sensitive.
