Tetons
Avalanche danger
Highlights
The general avalanche this morning is LOW at all elevations. Isolated pockets of slab up to 12 inches in depth lie upon melt/freeze crusts and wind slabs which could be triggered today on steep shaded aspects. In the heat of the afternoon the avalanche hazard will increase to MODERATE on sunlight aspects above 9,000 feet where wet loose avalanches lying upon a well developed sun crust could be triggered. Avalanches are unlikely in the shallow snowpack at mid and low elevations.
