The General Avalanche Hazard is MODERATE. Six to 10 inches of new snow has fallen in the past 48 hours. Strong northwest winds have formed pockets of new dense surface slab up to 18 inches deep. These pockets of slab lie upon hard old snow surfaces and could be human triggered on steep wind loaded slopes.
