Recent north and northwest winds moved snow at upper elevations. These winds have created a variable distribution of stiff drifted slabs, eroded surfaces, and wind-pressed snow. If you were to trigger an avalanche, it would be where you find firm, recently drifted snow. Deeper drifts are more likely on northeast, east, and southeast-facing slopes, however, cross-loaded terrain features can be found on all slopes.
