Avalanche Summary

You could trigger an avalanche where new snow is settling into a slab over buried weak layers. The most concerning places are where recent snow has buried firm slabs of wind-drifted snow on north and northeast-facing slopes in the alpine.

Recent snowfall ushered in widespread loose activity and a few slab avalanches. Look for instabilities like cracking and collapsing or avalanches on similar slopes and head to lower-angle terrain or a slope that faces west or south if you observe these signs.
