Avalanche Summary
Avalanche conditions are generally safe. The few places where you might be able to trigger a small avalanche are on wind-loaded slopes at the highest elevations. If you find yourself traveling on a steep slope where the snow surface has a smooth, wave-like appearance and a hard, hollow feel, consider moving to a different slope. You can find these wind-loaded slopes on the lee-side of a ridgeline or along the sides of gully features. Sticking to slopes less than about 30 degrees steep is a safer option.
