At the mid and upper elevations (above an elevation of 7,500 feet) dense slabs up to four feet in depth lie upon a persistent weak layer of faceted snow. These slabs could be triggered by the weight of a single person or release naturally. Some of these slides have been observed to have run full path during the past several days.
