Wet snow requires caution.

In all regions medium-sized and, in isolated cases, large moist and wet avalanches are possible as a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation, in particular on steep slopes, and at the base of rock walls and above approximately 2200 m. The wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in some cases in particular on very steep shady slopes above approximately 2800 m. In the regions exposed to heavier precipitation the likelihood of avalanches being released is greater. At high altitudes and in high Alpine regions an unfavourable avalanche situation will persist in some cases. This applies in particular on very steep shady slopes. The Avalanche Warning Service currently has only a small amount of information that has been collected in the high Alpine regions, so that the avalanche danger should be investigated especially thoroughly in the relevant locality.

In some regions 10 cm of snow will fall above approximately 2500 m. In some localities 5 to 30 cm of snow has fallen since Tuesday above approximately 2300 m. Up to 2400 m rain fell in the last few days. The conditions in all altitude zones are spring-like. As a consequence of mild temperatures and high relative humidity the snowpack could not consolidate during the last few days. The weather conditions as the day progresses will give rise to moistening of the snowpack.

The conditions will facilitate a slow strengthening of the snowpack in all aspects.
