A favourable avalanche situation will be encountered over a wide area.

As a consequence of a strong to storm force westerly wind, rather small wind slabs will form at high altitude. The fresh wind slabs are bonding well with the old snowpack.

Snowpack Structure

The snowpack will be well bonded over a wide area. The weather conditions as the day progresses will give rise to moistening of the snowpack. This applies at intermediate and high altitudes.

Tendency

The avalanche conditions are favourable over a wide area.
