New snow and wind slabs above the tree line.

The fresh wind slabs are extensive and can only be released by large loads in most cases.

Snowpack Structure

The fresh snow and also very particularly the extensive wind slabs represent the main danger. The avalanche prone locations for dry avalanches are to be found especially on wind-loaded slopes above approximately 2300 m and adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls.

Tendency

Backcountry touring and other off-piste activities are to be restricted to moderately steep terrain as far as possible.
