Forecast Snow Stability: Above 900 metres, moderately bonded windslab will be present in wind sheltered, steep and isolated places on mostly North-East through East to Southerly aspects. New deposits due to redistributed snow will also form on Northerly aspects but amounts are not expected to be great. Coire rims, ridge flanks, steep convexities, gully tops will be most affected. Elsewhere, snow cover will be thin. Deeper deposits in avoidable wind sheltered hollows. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate
Forecast Weather Influences: A generally dry day is expected. Winds will be fresh to strong South-Westerly throughout the forecast period. Freezing levels around 400 metres. Observed Weather Influences: Very poor visibility above 700m. Winds fresh North-Westerly at summit levels, calmer at lower elevations. Occasional light snow showers. Freezing at all levels. ObservedSnowStability: Little change. A thin cover of unconsolidated snow on most aspects. Above 900 metres moderately bonded windslab is present in isolated wind sheltered and steep places where it gains depth on mainly Easterly to Southerly aspects. Coire rims, steep convexities and gulls tops most affected. Elsewhere, snow cover is thin, but deeper in wind sheltered hollows which are avoidable. The avalanche hazard is Moderate
