At the upper elevations above 9,000 feet pockets of slabs to eighteen inches in depth could be triggered by users on steep, north to northeast facing slopes or cliff areas. Larger triggers, such as snow machines or groups, may be necessary to release avalanches. At mid and low elevations the snowpack is mostly stable and avalanches are unlikely except in cliff areas or in extreme terrain.

Skies will be partly cloudy with a chance of light snow developing Tuesday afternoon as a weak system approaches the area. Temperatures at 9,500 feet will be near zero in the morning then rise to 10 degrees during the day. Winds along the crests will be westerly at 20 miles per hour.The general avalanche hazard above 9,000 feet will be Moderate. Pockets of wind slab to 18 inches in depth could be triggered by users on steep, lee slopes or above cliff bands at upper elevations. Larger triggers such as groups or snow machines may be necessary to release slides. At the mid and lower elevations the hazard will be Low.
