Avalanche Summary
Most slopes are free from avalanche hazard. However, this will gradually change as new snow accumulates. By the end of the day, only around 6 inches of snow is expected, which will not significantly change the hazard. This changes overnight as snowfall increases.
As you travel in the backcountry over the next few days, pay attention to how much snow is falling and if westerly winds are drifting that snow onto lee slopes. Once a slab develops over our current shallow, battered, and weak snowpack. Our ability to trigger avalanches will increase.
