Highlights
Strong southwest to northwest winds have formed pockets of new soft slab one to two feet in depth at the mid and upper elevations. These slabs lie upon slick crusty old snow surfaces and weak layers of faceted snow. Soft slab avalanches will be easily triggered and could release spontaneously. At the lower elevations the snowpack is shallow and avalanches are unlikley except in isolated pockets.
