Highlights

The General Avalanche Hazard is LOW at all elevations this morning and will increase to MODERATE by afternoon. Cooler overnight temperatures than Monday night have allowed the snow surface to set up this morning. Rapid warming from clear skies will soften the surface and create the possibility of wet, loose slides on Easterly to Southwesterly exposures in the afternoon. At Low elevations the thin snowpack has little strength and slides to the ground are possible on a variety of aspects. Avoid sunny slopes after noon today and stay clear of run-out zones below avalanche terrain.
