Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE today. New snow and strong winds have formed surface slabs to eighteen inches in depth on leeward slopes. These new slabs lie on a very weak snow pack and are expected to be easily triggered today by backcountry users on steep terrain. Once triggered they could pull out deeper layers of snow to the ground.
