Highlights
At the mid and upper elevations winds over the past several days have formed fresh new wind slabs on a variety of aspects. Yesterday backcountry skiers south of the boundary of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort were able to easily trigger surface slabs up to 18 inches deep on southeast and northeast facing convex rollovers. Avalanches are unlikely at the lower elevations due to shallow snow depths. The Teton Mountain Lodge is hosting an apres ski benefit for the avalanche center today that will feature a slide show by Chris Figenshau and a raffle with great prizes.
