Avalanche Summary

The avalanche danger will rise as new snow and strong winds build fresh slabs in steep terrain. Northerly winds will distribute snow on a range of east-to-south aspects. The most dangerous slopes will be where these slabs form over a foot deep on hardened old snow surfaces, likely below ridges or the sides of steep gullies. Avoid these areas, and you will significantly reduce your chances of taking a nasty ride into consequential terrain features further down the slope.
