Forecast Snow Stability: Initially, weak windslab on steep North to East aspects above 900m. After overnight wind shift, new marginally stabilised windslab will begin to develop on steep North to West aspects above same altitude. Early consolidation in all snow by the end of the afternoon. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate
Forecast Weather Influences: Snow showers tapering out overnight but returning mid morning. Initially cold but freezing level rising progressively to near summits by early afternoon. Strong Westerly winds becoming South Easterly later. Observed Weather Influences: Cold with snow showers. Very strong generally Westerly winds. ObservedSnowStability: Recently formed weak windslab on steep North to East aspects above 900m. Deeper deposits beginning to form at gully exits and coire rims at the time of reporting. Early minor cornice development noted over steeper lee slopes. The avalanche hazard is Moderate
