Avalanche Activity

Gradual increase in danger of moist and wet avalanches as a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation.

As a consequence of warming during the day and the solar radiation, the likelihood of moist and wet avalanches being released will increase gradually. Especially adjacent to ridgelines mostly small wind slabs formed. Individual avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular in steep terrain at elevated altitudes and on shady slopes. These are to be evaluated with care and prudence in particular in terrain where there is a danger of falling.

Snowpack Structure

Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be good. The snowpack will be generally subject to considerable local variations. In addition the mostly small wind slabs of the last few days are capable of being triggered in very isolated cases. These are to be found in particular in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain.

Tendency

The avalanche danger will persist.
