Chic-Choc Mountains.
The best way to enjoy the mountain at the moment is with crampons and ice axes, or running shoes ... or even ice skates? Snow cover is minimal and crust is widespread. Perfect weather to enjoy family and holiday festivities.

Minimal, crusty snow everywhere in the mountains. The snowpack varies in height from 0 to 35 cm at mid-mountain. At and below treeline, many areas are now uncovered, and there is no longer enough snow to produce avalanches at these elevations. In the alpine, isolated depressions and concavities retain a certain amount of snow.
Synopsis: The effects of a ridge of high pressure over the Chic-Chocs are still being felt. Its eastward movement brings a southerly flow that favors warmer temperatures in the mountains.
Sunday evening and night: Partly cloudy. Wind northwest, 10 to 30 km/h. Low -5.
Monday: Alternating sun and clouds. Wind southwest, 20 to 40 km/h. High -1. Freezing level at 600m.
Tuesday: Alternating sun and clouds. Light snow or freezing rain possible. Moderate north-westerly wind. Temperatures falling and freezing level dropping at the end of the day. Max -1.
Wednesday: Cloudy. Light north-westerly wind. High -6.
