Forecast Snow Stability: Areas of unstable windslab will persist on steep wind sheltered North and North-East aspects above 1000 metres. Localised instabilities will be found on other aspects. Gully tops, steep convexities and coire rims will be most affected. Cornices will remain a threat from collapse on West through North to East aspects. Wind exposed areas will be very firm, icy and stable. At lower elevations the snowpack will continue to consolidate. The avalanche hazard will be Considerable.

Forecast Weather Influences: Very strong Southerly winds will ease slightly around dawn veering South-South-West. Mainly dry with some negligible drizzle overnight and a trace of snow in the afternoon. The freezing level will lower to 1200 metres by the morning. Observed Weather Influences: A dry day with moderate summit winds from the South-West. The freezing level was around 1100 metres at midday.
