Observed Weather Influences: Heavy rain on very strong South-Westerly winds, first thing this morning, turned to snow above around 700 metres then eased by mid morning. The rest of the day was mostly dry with occasional showers and strong South-Westerly winds. The freezing level was around 700 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The existing patchy snow cover is well bonded and stable. A superficial layer of new snow lies on many aspects above around 700 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
